We are thrilled to announce that the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has officially approved the renewal of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) SuCat for another six years! Although this new project is the continuity of the previous one, several important updates are coming .To help you understand  these changes, we have highlighted the you may have :

Is it the same Master’s program as before?

The name and core subject remain the same, but the renewed SuCat program introduces several significant changes:

  1. A New Full Academic Partner 🫱🏼‍🫲🏼

We are proud to welcome the University of Padova as a full member of the SuCat consortium. The updated consortium now includes:

  1. Expanded Industrial Network 🌍

Our network of industrial partners has grown from 15 to 30 organizations. These partners will continue to:

  • Share insights from the industrial sector
  • Offer internship opportunities
  • Act as advisors to help improve the program

In this new edition, their involvement will be even more active, as we aim to co-develop certain aspects of the curriculum with them.

  1. Additional Scholarships and Support for Special Needs 🗺️

Beyond the standard Erasmus Mundus grants, SuCat has been granted 20 additional scholarships and fundingfor students with special needs;

  • 2 scholarships for IPA III (Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance): 2 scholarships for students from targeted Western Balkan countries. More information on IPA III >HERE<
  • 18 scholarships for NDICI (Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation – Global Europe Instrument): Scholarships for students from Regions 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 as listed in the Erasmus+ program guide (pages 38–39).
  • Special needs : This new project was also allocated fundings for welcoming students with special needs (e.g. long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments disabilities).
  1. Updated Teaching Plan 📚

The second semester will now be a hybrid format, combining:

  • Courses on Life Cycle Assessment at the University of Padova
  • A summer school
  • An internship

This new structure offers a more intensive learning experience, designed to deepen students’ understanding of circular and sustainable production frameworks and water resource management, while maintaining hands-on industry experience.

  1. Broader Ambitions

Generally speaking, we are looking to grow in all  areas, we would like to welcome more students, organize more SuCat events, collaborate more within the consortium and with our respective universities.

Our Philosophy Remains Unchanged

Despite these exciting changes, our mission remains the same: to equip SuCat students with the tools to succeed both professionally and personally, and to train the next generation of catalysts experts, aware of the global challenges ahead with an emphasis on sustainability.

We would like to thank the EACEA for their trust, all our partners for their support and everyone that contributed into building this new project. We are truly excited about what lies ahead!
