On September 22, 2023, a special graduation ceremony took place at Hôtel Dieu, at the University of Poitiers. It was the first graduation ceremony of the SuCat Master Degree! The event was attended by a group of nine enthusiastic students, their families and friends, along with their dedicated teachers and esteemed guests from partner universities.
The ceremony kicked off with an opening address by Karine De Oliveira Vigier and Céline Fontaine, representing the University of Poitiers, and Helena Nogueira and Josep M. Ricart Pla, representing the University of Aveiro and the University Rovira i Virgili, respectively. Their inspiring words set the tone for the celebratory occasion.
Christine Fernandez, the Vice President of International Relations, delivered a captivating speech, highlighting the importance of global connections and the significance of this international collaboration in education.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity for a student representative to express their gratitude and reflect on their journey. It was truly a moment of pride and achievement for each graduate.
Following the speeches, the graduates were presented with their well-deserved diplomas and some delightful goodies to commemorate their accomplishments. A memorable moment was captured through a handshake photo, symbolizing the completion of their academic journey.

The ceremony concluded with an exciting hat launch, symbolizing the graduates’ transition into the next phase of their lives. The joyful atmosphere continued into the evening as everyone gathered at the restaurant Bateau Ivre, to celebrate this significant milestone.
