Call for applications is open from June 1^st, 2024 to February 23^rd, 2025 (23:59, Brussels’ time). Candidates from all over the world can apply to the SuCat Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree until this date.

Students are admitted to the program as follows:

• All prospective students apply on line using the SuCat master website
• The application must be submitted in English
• Applicants must hold a Eurobachelor degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or similar studies. Having obtained a minimum of 180 ECTS prior to the beginning of the course and have a good knowledge in English
• Students are selected by the partners according to their internal regulations and processes.
• Application received before the end of the deadline
• Application form filled out in English
• Application containing all requested elements and documents

If you meet all requirements and want to apply to SuCat, the following list of documents will have to be attached to the application in a PDF format:

• Copy of your diploma(s) / degree(s) certificate(s) (add an English translation if applicable) or enrolled certificate from your university (for last year students)
• Copy of transcript of records for your whole degree and a grading scale (add an English translation if applicable)
• If your ranking doesn’t appear on the transcript of records, a letter of your university attesting your ranking in the class
• Curriculum Vitae in a European format (max 2 pages)
• Passport (or valid ID document)
• Proof of current and exact place of residence (see requirements below)
• Two recommendation letters (no specific format)
• Other document you consider relevant for the application

The Selection process for all SuCat Erasmus Mundus students is organized in three steps:

1. Pre-selection: applicants submit their electronic file to the programme coordinating institution for administrative checking and validation (e. that all documents are certified and correctly translated).
2. A first analysis will be performed using the following criterion 1) Academic records (30%); 2) Scientific background (20%); 3) Recommendation letters (10%); 4) Level of English (20%) and 5) Practical experience (20%).
3. Interview of shortlisted candidates. A shortlist determines students that will be interviewed by evaluators . The interview will last 30-40 minutes is designed to explore candidates’ motivation to study on the SuCat course, their critical thinking skills and understanding of social work issues. Candidates will also be able to ask questions about the SuCat programme.  Where possible, interviews will be conducted using video-confrence.  Alternatively, it will be possible to phone shortlisted candidates on a landline or mobile number.
4. Final selection: files are reviewed and marked on a scale from 1 (very poor) to 5 (outstanding)

The students will be informed of their selection around april 2025.

Certificate of residence
The purpose of the residence document is to prove your current place of residence so your current postal address. Which means your name and your own address need to appear on the document as well as the date of issuance of the document.
That is why we need a document as described in the chart below:
Residence certificate issued in accordance with the candidate’s municipality normal registration rules OR Certificate from the candidate’s current place of work, study or training issued by the employer or institution in question
Must have been issued by an official institution within 12 months before the application deadline
Be careful we won’t accept « work certificate » from the company you are working in. We want to have your current personal postal address and not your working address. We won’t accept your birth certificate either or your passport or your driving license.

In order to confirm your registration to SuCat you may need to provide legalized documents such as your diploma, transcript of records or birth certificate. Those documents are not required at application stage so you don’t need to initiate expenditures in case of a non-selection of your application. We will not accept a « work certificate » from the company you are working in. We want to have your current personal postal address and not your working address. We will not accept your birth certificate either or your passport.

All students who wish to appeal to any decisions must do so in writing an email within two weeks (14 days) from the date of the official notification. No late appeal will be considered. The appeal should be addressed to the SuCat consortium board at the following email address: emjmd.sucat@univ-poitiers.fr. The email subject heading should include the words “SuCat appeal,” together with the full name of the student. The justifications for the appeal must be explicitly stated in the email.

Note: A candidate may appeal ONLY on the grounds of the defective or unfair procedure by the SuCat consortium. The SuCat consortium is committed to answer the email within two weeks (14 days).

Please take due note of the policies by which the EACEA (European Education and Culture Executive Agency) collects, manages and uses the personal data in the context of managing mobility projects.

If you are selected (proposed for a scholarship/fellowship, put on the reserve list or enrolled on a self-paying basis) to be part of an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree your data may be used for the purposes of evaluating the programmes, efficiently manage the projects, and producing statistics. Data could be made available to the EACEA, the European Commission, the European External Action Service staff, as well as to other stakeholders of the Erasmus+ programme, such as Erasmus+ National Agencies, National Erasmus+ Offices and the Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association.

The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), in the context of managing the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees, collects and processes the personal data of some of the candidates. In particular, certain data of the scholarship holders (students and scholars), non–scholarship holders and reserve list candidates is shared with the Agency through the EACEA Mobility Tool and treated according to the following privacy statement.
