The Selection process for all SuCat Erasmus Mundus students is organized in three steps:

Certificate of residence
The purpose of the residence document is to prove your current place of residence so your current postal address. Which means your name and your own address need to appear on the document as well as the date of issuance of the document.
That is why we need a document as described in the chart below:
Residence certificate issued in accordance with the candidate’s municipality normal registration rules OR Certificate from the candidate’s current place of work, study or training issued by the employer or institution in question
Must have been issued by an official institution within 12 months before the application deadline
Be careful we won’t accept « work certificate » from the company you are working in. We want to have your current personal postal address and not your working address. We won’t accept your birth certificate either or your passport or your driving license.
In order to confirm your registration to SuCat you may need to provide legalized documents such as your diploma, transcript of records or birth certificate. Those documents are not required at application stage so you don’t need to initiate expenditures in case of a non-selection of your application. We will not accept a « work certificate » from the company you are working in. We want to have your current personal postal address and not your working address. We will not accept your birth certificate either or your passport.
All students who wish to appeal to any decisions must do so in writing an email within two weeks (14 days) from the date of the official notification. No late appeal will be considered. The appeal should be addressed to the SuCat consortium board at the following email address: emjmd.sucat@univ-poitiers.fr. The email subject heading should include the words “SuCat appeal,” together with the full name of the student. The justifications for the appeal must be explicitly stated in the email.
Note: A candidate may appeal ONLY on the grounds of the defective or unfair procedure by the SuCat consortium. The SuCat consortium is committed to answer the email within two weeks (14 days).
Please take due note of the policies by which the EACEA (European Education and Culture Executive Agency) collects, manages and uses the personal data in the context of managing mobility projects.
If you are selected (proposed for a scholarship/fellowship, put on the reserve list or enrolled on a self-paying basis) to be part of an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree your data may be used for the purposes of evaluating the programmes, efficiently manage the projects, and producing statistics. Data could be made available to the EACEA, the European Commission, the European External Action Service staff, as well as to other stakeholders of the Erasmus+ programme, such as Erasmus+ National Agencies, National Erasmus+ Offices and the Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association.
The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), in the context of managing the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees, collects and processes the personal data of some of the candidates. In particular, certain data of the scholarship holders (students and scholars), non–scholarship holders and reserve list candidates is shared with the Agency through the EACEA Mobility Tool and treated according to the following privacy statement.
You must hold a Eurobachelor degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or similar studies. Having obtained a minimum of 180 ECTS prior to the beginning of the course.
You can still apply even if you are not graduated, but you will need to graduate before the beginning of the first semester of the SuCat programme. You need to show proof of your studies with a duly signed and stamped statement that declares you are currently in your last year. You need to include the transcript of records showing all courses completed and all uncompleted courses for which you are enrolled. The statement should mention in which month you are expecting to obtain the diploma.
All courses are taught in English, but providing a language test is not compulsory. During the application, we ask you to self-assess your English knowledge. The minimum level required is B2, preferred C1 or equivalent to 580 TOEFL score. Your level of English will also be assessed during the interview if you are selected for the second step.
Yes. You can submit an official statement of graduation from your university instead of the degree. The statement must mention your name, the name of the programme you followed, and confirm that you have passed all the necessary modules to graduate. Date of graduation should appear as well.
Yes. You can submit an official certificate of enrollment from your university instead of the degree. This certificate must mention your name, the name of the programme you are following and the expected date of graduation.
You can ask your referee/teacher to email your letter to us via emjmd.sucat@univ-poitiers.fr . When applying, submit an empty document instead of the missing letter.
If your ranking does not appear on the transcript of records, we ask you to submit a letter of your university attesting your ranking in the class.
If your documents are in English or French, a translation is not necessary. A translation will be necessary for other languages.
